CENIT NADIR by Reina del Trap

“Cenit and me have been shooting since 2015, we’ve developed a special connection and shooting with her is always magical.” tells Puerto Rico based photographer Steph Segarra. “For this shoot Cenit wanted to look a little bit different so we got Raiza Montes to do the braids and makeup and Keyla Teresa to do the styling.” I got inspired by a 90s and early 2000s aesthetic. I had previously scouted various locations alongside an old road in Caguas, it’s full of “gomeras”, gas stations and car dealers. One that stood out to me was the car dealer with happy faces all over. It had such peculiar decoration that I had to shoot there. To avoid getting catcalled (which always happens) we hit these places late on a Sunday afternoon when the shops had closed and took advantage of the sunset. One of my best friends, Karlas Sanchez joined us and got us listening to Femme Trap the whole shoot. Some Princess Nokia, Nathy Peluso, Bad Gyal amongst others. We decided Cenit was a trap artist and we were shooting promo for her. It was a fun all girl shoot and we followed with some drinks!”
